The 1 oz 2021 EC8 Dominica Silver Proof Coloured Coin pays homage to the national bird of Dominica, the sisserou. The Dominican bird is also known as The Imperial Amazon and is a parrot that can only be found in the Caribbean island of Dominica. The species is critically endangered. In 2019, it was estimated there were only about 50 mature individuals left in the wild.
