GOLD PHILHARMONIC BULLION COINS:
Created in 1989, the coins were conceived as a tribute to the renowned Vienna Philharmonic, one of the world’s most celebrated orchestras. Originally minted with a face value of 2,000 shillings it was later adjusted to €100 in 2002. In response to their popularity the Austrian Mint has expanded the series to include Silver and Platinum versions.

THE AUSTRIAN MINT:
Beginning with the Gold Philharmonic first released in 1989, the series was expanded to include the silver coin in 2008 and after that fractional coins.
