Struck at The Perth Mint, this 1/2 oz silver coin celebrates the year of the dragon with a cute coloured portrayal of the creature surrounded by the Chinese symbol for dragon as well as a title inscription.

The dragon symbolises bravery, persistence, intelligence, and good fortune. . Chinese astrology describes people born in the years 2024, 2012, 2000, 1988, 1976, and every 12th year before that as bold, confident, strong, and influential.

The obverse of the coin depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley memorial effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This is surrounded by the coins monetary denomination, metal type, date, weight and purity. The coin is authorised as official legal tender by the government of Tuvalu.

Each coin comes in an offical mint packaged illustrated shipper with a number certificate of authenticity.
