This beautiful 2 oz 2023 The Night Before Christmas Silver Antiqued Coloured Coin has a 24-carat gold-plated Christmas stocking hanging from the coins center. The reverse features a classic fireside on Christmas Eve, radiating cosiness and festive delight. The design features a stocking, snow globes, gift-wrapped boxes, slumbering pets, and snacks for Santa. It also includes a tree, wreath, and garlands decorated with coloured baubles and ribbons. The Perth Mint's "P" mintmark is also incorporated into the design.

The tradition of hanging Christmas stockings is believed to come from a story of a poor family who, out of pride, refused charity for their three daughters. Saint Nicholas secretly placed gold coins in their stockings by the fire, leading to the custom of children hanging stockings on Christmas Eve in hopes of finding gifts in the morning.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 2 oz of 99.99% pure silver and issued as legal tender under the Authority of
Government of Tuvalu. The Perth Mint will release no more than 3,000 The Night Before Christmas 2023 2oz silver antiqued coloured coins.
The obverse portrays the memorial Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, a decorative wreath, as well as the coin’s weight, purity, denomination and year-date.
The coin is housed in a classic display case with a clear lid. Packaged in a Christmas gift box with a bow, each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
